Isagoras and Cleisthenes

There were two people that were aristocrats that tried to take control of Athens. Isagoras and Cleisthenes. Isagoras had the vote of the other aristocrats and upper class. Cleisthenes had the vote of other upper class and lower class. When Isagoras had won to be leader he had banished Cleisthenes. His followers didn't like that so after a few years they had banished Isagoras and then a democracy was born in 508 B.C.
